FAQ

Can a foreigner really do this alone?
Yes. The procedure is the same for everyone. The only cost is the application fee (¥2,000–2,550 depending on the prefecture).
Do I still get a parking sticker?
No. The sticker and its fee were abolished on 1 April 2025.
Can I apply without going to the police station?
Yes, with a My Number Card, through the One Stop Service (OSS). You attach the drawings as PDF.
