Garage certificate fees by prefecture (2026)
Since the sticker was abolished in April 2025, the only cost is the application fee, set by each prefecture.
Check the current fee with your local police station or the prefectural police website before applying.
This site explains the general procedure and provides a tool to help you prepare your own documents. Forms, fees and required documents may differ by prefecture, police station or Transport Bureau office. Always check with the office in charge before applying.
