When do you need it?

  • Monthly rented parking (月極駐車場)
  • Parking at a rented apartment
  • Land owned by family (parents, spouse…)
  • Co-owned land

How to get it

  1. Ask the owner or management company for a "車庫証明用の".
  2. They confirm the location, your name and address, and the use period.
  3. They fill it in (and may stamp it).

Management companies may charge a fee. Some prefectures accept a copy of the parking lease instead.

Our tool prints a pre-filled certificate with your details; the owner only signs.

Your own land? Use the self-declaration (jininsho)

If the space is on land or a building you alone own, you don't need a consent certificate: you fill in a (自認書, officially 保管場所使用権原疎明書面) yourself.

Land ownerDocument
You only自認書 (self-declaration)
You + others自認書 + consent of the co-owners (varies by prefecture)
Family onlyConsent certificate

A common trap: you own the house, but the land is registered in a parent's or spouse's name. The document tool creates the self-declaration too.
