How to make the location map (shozaizu)
The 所在図 shows where your home and parking space are. Enter both addresses (in Japanese) and the distance is calculated automatically.

What the map must show
- Your place of use (home or office)
- The parking space
- The straight-line distance between them
- Streets and landmarks (intersections, schools, convenience stores…)
Can I use a printed map?
In most prefectures, yes: print a map and mark both points. Requirements vary by police station.
Parking at home
If the parking space is on your own property, you can often just write "same as " (使用の本拠と同じ). The is still required.
